so, all week long i've been bouncing around newport beach, ca at a conference for work reveling in the "none of my business"-event that was bey and jay's recent wedding.
upon returning to my brooklyn, ny apartment (thank god!) and settling into my writing and work for the day, i came upon an article about a familiar couple accompanied by the title:
"ashlee simpson and pete wentz get engaged!"
looks like cupid's awake. hope he's stopping here soon. ...

sources confirmed today that beyonce and jay-z were married early last evening in a quiet, and i'm sure fabulous, ceremony somewhere in nyc. what followed, i've read, was an extravagant party held at jay's tribeca penthouse apartment [sidebar: i'll take one of those, lord, please...].

there comes a point in everyone’s life when they realize that all they have to count on in this world is him or herself. that point for me was tonight (or rather, early this morning).
